Department of Agriculture

The Department of Agriculture of the Democratic Republic of the Yoruba (D.R.Y) implements a comprehensive strategic plan to ensure sustainable agricultural development across the entire Yoruba land. Committed to food security and economic growth, the department promotes responsible resource management, innovation, and modern farming techniques. Additionally, the D.R.Y does not tolerate the misuse of vital agricultural resources, such as arable land, water, and livestock, ensuring they are utilized efficiently for the benefit of present and future generations.

Agriculture that sustains and nourishes.

Pleasure in the D.R.Y

The Department of Agriculture in the Democratic Republic of the Yoruba (D.R.Y) will play a vital role in ensuring food security, economic prosperity, and sustainable development. Our mother, Modupe Onitiri-Abiola (Chief Mrs), whom Olodumare sent to bless the Yoruba nation, deeply valued the well-being of the Yoruba people and worked tirelessly to ensure that no Yoruba child would go hungry. The structured agricultural policies entrusted to us, as MOA always emphasized, are unparalleled in the world. Among the many benefits we will enjoy in the D.R.Y is a thriving agricultural sector that guarantees abundance, self-sufficiency, and prosperity for all.

Since the 12th of December, 1962, when our father, Mobolaji Olawale Akinola Omonkore, was entrusted with the leadership of our community, agricultural development has advanced systematically. This is because a strong agricultural sector is essential to society, ensuring food security and economic stability. In the Democratic Republic of the Yoruba (D.R.Y.), all farmers—both large-scale and small-scale—will receive the necessary support, including modern tools, resources, and training, to maximize productivity.

Across every town and village in Yoruba land, fertile lands will be cultivated efficiently, and no community will suffer from food shortages. Therefore, all true children of the Indigenous Yoruba People (I.Y.P.) in the D.R.Y. will enjoy a prosperous and self-sufficient future. Let us rejoice and embrace the abundance ahead!
