The Department of Defense in the Democratic Republic of the Yoruba (D.R.Y.) is committed to ensuring the safety and security of all Yoruba people. With a strategic defense plan that covers the entire Yoruba land, the department focuses on maintaining peace, protecting national interests, and securing the borders from any threat. Similarly, the D.R.Y. upholds the integrity of its powerful resources, including its military and defense assets, and ensures that they are never misused, but rather are deployed to safeguard the well-being and sovereignty of the nation.

The Department of Defense in the Democratic Republic of the Yoruba (D.R.Y.) is committed to protecting the well-being and sovereignty of the Yoruba people. Our mother, Modupe Onitiri-Abiola (Chief Mrs), whom Olodumare sent to bless the Yoruba nation, always held the Yoruba people close to her heart, ensuring no Yoruba child would ever be in harm’s way. The strong, structured defense system entrusted to us by Olodumare, as MOA always shared, remains unmatched in the world.
Since 12th December, 1962, when our father, Mobolaji Olawale Akinola Omonkore, assumed leadership, the security of our land has advanced systematically. The defense of our nation is as essential to society as the protection of resources. Therefore, the D.R.Y. will ensure that every town and village is safeguarded, with no space left for enemies to hide.
All true children of the Indigenous Yoruba People (I.Y.P.) in the D.R.Y. will enjoy a future of security and peace. Let us rejoice and celebrate the strength that lies ahead!
