Special Operations Forces (SOF) of the Democratic Republic of the Yoruba (D.R.Y.)
The Special Operations Forces (SOF) of the Democratic Republic of the Yoruba (D.R.Y.) would serve as the elite military unit tasked with handling high-risk missions that require advanced training, precision, and strategic execution. These forces would be the backbone of the nation’s defense against unconventional threats, including terrorism, insurgency, cyber warfare, and special reconnaissance.
The D.R.Y. Special Operations Forces would be responsible for:
- Counterterrorism – Neutralizing terrorist threats and preventing attacks within and beyond national borders.
- Special Reconnaissance – Conducting covert surveillance and intelligence-gathering missions in hostile environments.
- Unconventional Warfare – Engaging in asymmetric warfare, including guerrilla operations and sabotage.
- Hostage Rescue & Direct Action – Conducting precision raids to rescue hostages and eliminate high-value targets.
Structure & Units
The SOF of the D.R.Y. would be divided into specialized units, each trained for specific operational environments:
1. Yoruba Elite Commando Regiment (YECOR)
- The main land-based force for high-risk direct action missions.
- Trained in jungle warfare, desert operations, and urban combat.
2. Maritime Special Operations Unit (MSOU)
- Conducts naval-based missions, including underwater demolitions and sea-to-land assaults.
- Works closely with the D.R.Y. Navy and Marine Corps.
3. Airborne Special Forces (ASF)
- Specializes in airborne insertions, parachute assaults, and rapid response missions.
- Capable of deploying into hostile areas within hours.
4. Cyber & Electronic Warfare Unit (CEWU)
- Focuses on cyber defense, electronic warfare, and intelligence hacking.
- Protects national digital infrastructure from cyber threats.
5. Tactical Intelligence & Reconnaissance Division (TIRD)
- Conducts deep-cover intelligence gathering and sabotage operations.
- Works closely with national intelligence agencies.
